Medium Flake is an attractive, sandy, straw colored plank that rubs out beautifully and loads consistently well in any size bowl. There is a romance in the tin that is nearly a lemon bundt cake aroma, but this is fleeting and will not survive being rubbed out. The flake also carries a sweet and active Virginia taste to the palate, with a fine black pepper presence that slaloms unpredictably through the other flavors. Medium Flake may impress you as "simple and straightforward," but excercising a little extra discernment will open the subtleties of this tobacco, leaving you very, very satisfied.
