This blend is the same recipe as Royal Jersey Original Latakia, though it is caked and tinned without ever seeing that exotic Turkish or Cyprian content. The presentation is the color of wheat and cracked oats, with just the notion of Black Cavendish. The tin aroma has a romance of clover with undertones of honeycomb and warm hay. This Virginia based blend, with the mildest of lemon zest provides a straightforward, pleasantly uncomplicated fragrant smoke that does not confound the palate with too many ideas. Creamy and cool burning, fall into a deep armchair with Royal Jersey Cavendish & Virginia, then ease into the untroubled sleep of the afternoon nap.
